Furry Friday – 10/17

Each week it’s a new Furry Friend waiting to be adopted at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

ASPCA_Mega Match-a-thon_All locationsThis week it’s:  ALL of the cats and dogs!  That’s because the ARL is in partnership with the ASPCA for the annual Mega Match-A-Thon!  All cats and dogs will be just $45!

This covers adoptions at all ARL locations, plus a Merle Hay Mall on Saturday and at the Great Iowa Pet Expo too!!!

There are so many amazing animals just waiting for a home and this is a great weekend to add to your family.

I just want to note, that if you got a cat or dog in another way, it would cost you anywhere from 4 to 8 times as much to get them ready to be in your home.  That would cover: shots, blood tests, possibly flea dipping, spaying/neutering, and a basic check-up.  If that pet were to turn out not to be healthy, because you adopted from a questionable breeder or situation, the bills could run into the $1,000’s.

So, what I am saying is, $45 is the least expensive way to get unconditional love. 🙂
