Furry Friday: Adopt…. Or, Foster

It’s officially that time of year at the Animal Rescue League of Iowacat and kitten season.

That means people who didn’t spay or neuter their pets are now dropping off both adults animals (like it’s their fault) and their offspring.  They are adorable animals who have done nothing wrong, except end up with the wrong humans to begin with.

So, now what they need is what all of us do – loving forever homes.  To that end, adoption is always awesome!  That means you are able to commit for the rest of the pets life, and that’s perfect.

But there is another option they need right now – foster homes.  These are pets who need to be out of the shelter for a number of reasons, or the ARL needs to make room temporarily so that they can help more animals.  And it’s perfect if you cannot commit long-term to a new pet for some reason.  Or, if you already have several pets, but are willing to make a little more room.

Whichever choice is right for you, thank you for helping give these wonderful pets a new and amazing life.

And, if neither option is right for you, that’s okay, you can support in a number of ways with donations of money or goods.   (See, I have you from every angle. 🙂 )

Please Adopt, Don’t Shop. -Kate
