Furry Friday – Paw It Forward

arl-paw-it-forwardYou might have noticed a trend – the Animal Rescue League of Iowa is overwhelmed with pets, so they have been offering “deals.”  Now, as I have pointed out before, their adoption fees are always a deal because all of the initial vet care, etc. for a pet can cost $250-450, depending on what needs to be done.  But, when they do just $25 (like this weekend), it’s an AMAZING deal.

That being said, as much as I want another cat (honestly, I want them all), we are full at the inn with four.  So, this weekend, not only can you adopt a cat or dog for just $25 to “clear the shelter,” you have the option to “Paw it Forward” and pay someone else’s adoption fee.  That means I can adopt a cat – for someone else.  Ha!  They helped me find a way around it! 😉

So, even if you are full too, you can help get these kitties and doggies into great furever homes.

Please Adopt, Don’t Shop. -Kate
