Furry Friday – Pollock

This week my adorable adoptable from the Animal Rescue League of Iowa is senior sensation Pollock!

He’s 11 years old, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to have fun and give love.  Because he’s a senior his adoption fee is just $60!

Pollock 2Here’s more from the ARL about Pollock:

BIG FAN OF: Going for long walks.

NOT A FAN OF: Some other dogs, particularly if they’re bouncy and energetic.

SPECIAL FEATURES: Pollock is a friendly, mild-mannered guy who would love to be your new walking buddy. He enjoys relaxing with you, but he can also have short bursts of energy where he’s a very silly player.

DREAM HOME: With kind, calm people who will take him for daily walks and give him plenty of toys to play with. Plan on a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs before taking him home.

This dog is participating in our Shelter Dog Getaway program — a program designed to give dogs a vacation from the shelter and let them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. While vacation is fun, there really is no place like home, so please consider adopting one of these deserving dogs! As part of this program, their adoption fee is just $60. To learn more about this dog or schedule a time to meet it, please contact petbehavior@arl-iowa.org.
