Furry Friday – Wiz Con Edition

Since Wizard World Comic Con is in Des Moines this weekend, I needed to find adorable adoptables from the Animal Rescue League of Iowa who were properly named.

These kitty sisters fit that bill well – Xena and Robin Sparkles!

xenaXena, of course, is the Warrior Princess from the television series.  The character crossed over with Hercules, who, coincidentally, I met on Thursday – Kevin Sorbo!  (Great guy! And handsome!)

And Xena’s sister, Robin Sparkles, is named for Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill in the Marvel movies) character on “How I met Your Mother.”  If you haven’t seen the show, just Google the name, you’ll see why it’s hilarious!robin sparkles

The pair are just 9 months old, so they are all kitten.  Therefore, if you are looking to increase the action at your house, they perfectly fit the bill.

By the way, because they are bonded, you can adopt the pair for just $125 – as always that includes spay, vaccinations, microchip and more.

Have a nerdy-geeky weekend!  (I will.)  And Please Adopt, Don’t Shop. -Kate
