To start the year I posted about how important it is to protect animals. Now the Animal Rescue League of Iowa is giving you a chance to get directly involved. It is their annual “Lobby Day,” and it is right around the corner.
It happens during the day because that’s when the legislature is in session, so I am telling you far enough in advance that you can make plans for work. 😀

Join other Iowans concerned about animal welfare for a day of advocating your state legislators for improved animal protection laws for Iowa’s animals!
The Iowa legislature is in session, so now is a great opportunity to talk to your representatives and let them know you want them to improve Iowa’s animal welfare laws. Iowa currently ranks 49th in the nation for the effectiveness of our animal protection laws. We need to do better, and you can help!
Register and come to the Iowa State capitol on Thursday, February 2! We’ll be there to help you through the process with tips, talking points, and other resources.
A map for parking can be found here.
