There is a trend of people adopting older dogs, ones who are toward the end of their lives, and making sure that their last couple of years are magical. Wouldn’t it be great if someone did that for Fi?
Fi is a beautiful 12-year-old Border Collie mix at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. She is ready for just this kind of adoption. 🙂 Below is everything you need to know about this pretty girl.
Please Adopt, Don’t Shop. -Kate
From the ARL:
This dog is available for our Better With Age adoption fee of $60.
BIG FAN OF: Chewing on rawhides and spending time with her human friends.
NOT A FAN OF: Young children. They are way too much for her, so she needs a teens-and-up home right now.
SPECIAL FEATURES: Fi is a wonderful dog who is eager to please and be your best buddy. She’ll sit by your feet, walk by your side and be your devoted companion forever. Fi is used to a quiet home and has done well with cats and other dogs. She currently knows sit, stay and come and walks nicely on a leash. She’s super sweet and not demanding, although she loves any attention you give her.
OTHER REASONS SHE’S SPECIAL: She has a lipoma, which is not unusual in dogs her age. If you have questions about this when visiting with Fi, please ask to speak to a member of our medical staff. We also encourage you to consult your regular veterinarian.
DREAM HOME: A calm, relaxed, mature home where she can go on daily walks and spend plenty of time relaxing and enjoying life.
